What is a cookie?

The session cookies are temporarily stored during one browsing session and are erased from the user’s terminal when closing the browser.
This kind of cookie is saved on the computer during a specific period of time (generally, one year or more) and is not erased when closing the browser. It is used when is needed to know who is the user for more than one browsing session.
What is local storage?
Is about the possibility that the data from the web application is stored in the user’s browser. Until the appearance of HTML5, the data from the applications had to be stored in the cookies, which were included in all the requests to the server.
